What is Thursday Night On The Square?
Thursday Night On The Square (TNOTS) was once a beloved community tradition hosted by Palmdale Parks & Recreation at Poncitlán Square in Palmdale’s downtown civic area. Designed as a family-centered gathering rather than a formal concert or ticketed event, TNOTS brought neighbors together for fun summer evenings filled with entertainment and community spirit.
Held every Thursday during the summer for approximately 8–10 consecutive weeks, the event featured local business vendors, arts and crafts, family activities, kids’ attractions, food vendors, and opportunities for the community to connect and enjoy time together. Historical references to the event describe it as a weekly summer gathering with vendors, entertainment, and activities for children.
As attendance continued to grow, Thursday Night On The Square eventually outgrew Poncitlán Square. Around 2008, the event came to an end as the City shifted its focus toward larger community programming at the Palmdale Amphitheater, which offered expanded space for summer concerts, food vendors, and larger audiences.
For many residents, TNOTS became more than just an event — it became a tradition and a place where memories were made. The community has continued to remember and miss the experience for years.

A few things to know...
It is typically an outdoor event, so evenings can cool down in the Antelope Valley. Parking is generally available around downtown Palmdale and the civic center area, vendor lineups and activities can vary from week to week.
Various food vendors will be at the event, and can also vary from week to week. This event will be from July 16, to September 10, 2026.
From 5:00pm to 8:30pm.
